Hazas's municipal area includes 21,9 km2 of the heart of Trasmiera's region, in the
oriental band of Cantabria.
To half a way between(among) Santoña and the bay of Santander, this municipality is on the itinerary to
Santiago de Compostela, which was passing parallel to the Cantabrian coast. To the southwest, between(among)
Hazas of Basket and Ribamontán to the Mount, there is located a natural notable space. It is a question of
an area of hills that it crowns a cluster of small summits. Between them they stand out the High place of
Jesus del Monte, of 195 meters of altitude; Moncubo, of 367 m; and Llusa, of 377 m, placed on the divide of
both municipalities. The latter hill constitutes for yes the same attractive enclave populated by a
Mediterranean bushes so dense that makes it difficultly passable.
The surgencia of the Fountain of the Royal one locates in the neighborhood The Corner. IT is fed by the waters
that filter from the nearby mounts and it is an origin of the creek Boy. The river Campiazo crosses the municipality.
Of its monumental patrimony the parochial church of Santa Maria stands out.
The best way to access the Casona El Rincón de Hazas is by the exit Praves and Hazas de Cesto,
number 189 of the motorway A-8 . Once outside the A-8, head towards direction Hazas de Cesto by
road CA-266 and in less than 5 minutes you will go down to the valley and you could see the house,
unmistakable blue windows and white facade.
The entrance to the car park is located in the back of the house. You will find it passing the first
traffic lights and a series of attached houses on your left. You will find the entrance through a small
stonewall that leads to the property. Due to its close proximity to the Cantabria motorway you will be able
to reach Santander in less than 30 minutes and Bilbao in less than one hour, being able to visit all the
attracions that both cities have to offer to their visitors. You will enjoy tracking in the National Park
Picos de Europa and to participate in Potes and the small counties around the Jubilee Year Lebaniego,
visiting the Monastery of Santo Toribio. To discover the world of the birds and to take a walk by the salt
marshes of Santoña, also visit the cliffs while you take a walk over the Buciero mountain. And if you want,
you can relax in fine sandy beaches, play golf and visit towns, but you will always find something to explore
in any corner of our Cantabrian Coast
